When I tell most people that I’m a graphic designer, they seem pleasantly surprised. It seems to conjure up images of me sitting in a meadow sipping coca-cola and sketching logos for some environmental non-profit. Well, truth be told, that isn’t so far off. Just replace meadow with cave of computers, sketching with vectorizing, and [...]
Inogu Fabrics
A very talented friend of mine has opened up a clothing store. It’s still small as i write this, but very promising. Link
I’m starting to notice an unfortunate trend when I post new work that I’ve completed: none of it is actually complete. It always seems to be rushed–and half finished–but I have a feeling that I won’t get to go back and right any of the wrongs for some time. Slice of Life | Hero Nutritionals Home | Yummi [...]
Finished an invitation for a product launch from Hero Nutritionals. The card is die-cut into the shape of this product. The first image is the final, the second is my mockup. Needless to say I prefer my own version, but the final piece looks nice nonetheless.
A couple of design pieces
Working for Associated Students had its perks: there were 5 or 6 big concerts a year, and we got to design the concert posters. I took for granted the amount of creative freedom I had here, as well as the amount of alloted time to make it happen. I get creative projects at my current [...]
Fun web game, another website
I’m always looking for fun web games… I’m a fan of all games, but as far as web games go I’m a particular fan of the puzzle genre. SquareO is a good one I found today. Also I finished another of the Helio websites a few days ago. It’s their commercial energy management company, HelioEMS.
Another Website…Done!
Gotta love finishing projects. Although technically this one isn’t done, it has at least launched. Check out the new Pangaea Travel website. The three windows are, unfortunately, a blantant ripoff of the mootools homepage. The clients liked it a lot, and the attempts I made to rewrite the code were slow and cumbersome. This script [...]
A website to completion
It seems like I have piles of half-finished web sites, which is too bad because they don’t make good portfolio pieces that way. Fortunately, a project I’ve been working on for some time at Quantum launched yesterday–the Helio mU website. It’s had about 5000 copy and layout changes since I started–Maybe you will be able [...]
A few more websites
Until I get my portfolio up to speed (which I’ll do after I finish this website… or when I’m looking for a new job… so it might be awhile) I still need a place to post some of the web sites I’ve designed. So here are a few with layouts I don’t dislike. For several [...]
Atlas Construction Flash Intro
I was hired by Northstar Hosting to do a layout and flash intro for Atlas Construction Inc. They had a fun logo, and wanted a fun flash intro, so this is what I made for them. I should mention this was never quite finished… I wasn’t happy with the texture layer, and the whole thing [...]
