Brilliant! Ingenious! And oh so unique 🙂 I’m trying to find plans to build a walker out of two by twos and came across your site. Great photos, too.

Ingenious idea. I was thinking along the same lines but with an old outboard motor stand. One question though – What did you do with grandma?

    Thanks for the comments!

Grandma fit easily into the closet, and we stopped hearing her banging around in there a few weeks back.

Have you ever considered writing an ebook or guest authoring on other sites? I have a blog centered on the same information you discuss at http://www.johnpezzetti.com/2009/06/04/diy-building-a-kayak-cart-out-of-a-walker and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know my audience would appreciate your work. If you’re even remotely interested, feel free to shoot me an e-mail.

Got it, and with my pool noodle covering the metal, it fits like a glove.
Excellent cart, excellent idea. Thanks for sharing.

Brilliant use of a walker! Old folks would be happy to see that! I’m gonna mount a walker on the deck of my kayak (with a board on top of it) as a casting platform after I figure out some pontoons.
